アイラ島とジュラ島を分かつこの海峡周辺は、スコットランドの西海岸で最も美しい場所のひとつと言われています🥰✨
ナムバン湖の真水を仕込み水としてふんだんに使えることから、1846年にアイラ海峡に面したこの場所に蒸留所が建てられました❕
ナムバン湖の水は現在でも使われ、伝統的なモルトウイスキーの製法は今も維持されています🥃✨
【Caolila 18 years】
Caolila means the Strait of Islay in Gaelic.
It divides Islay Island and Jura Island, and the area around this strait is said to be one of the most beautiful on the west coast of Scotland.
A distillery was built in 1846 at this location facing the Strait of Islay, because the fresh water from Nambam Lake can be abundantly used as feed water.
The water of Nambam Lake is still used today and the traditional malt whiskey formula is still maintained.
