Glenfiddich Distillery is known to have been the
first in the world to release whiskey as a single
malt in 1963.
First applied to single malt whiskey, the Solera system used in sherry aging. It was born by aging the malt whiskey aged in three types of barrels, bourbon barrels, white oak barrels, and sherry barrels with Solera Bat.
